The Birth of Regenerative Creativity

It all began with a painting…

In the fall of 2023 I had this sudden calling to take a painting I was working on out to a yurt in the forest. I had never done anything like this before, but I had been saying yes to a lot of new things since leaving my teaching job of 20 years due to burnout. While I was there, alone in the forest, I painted and wrote and observed my painting and as I spent time moving between each of these creative acts the messages from the painting began to reveal themselves.

I noticed that the small words I had written on the painting, my core words for 2023, began to fit into a cycle. The more I wrote and worked with the words the more sense the cycle made. I began to realize that after burning out from the way I use to work, I had subconsciously been looking for a new way of working. The cycle included 8 parts starting with Curiosity and ending with Solitude. I was in awe! It was like the ideas just popped out of me. It didn’t feel like thinking, it felt like flow. Had my divine and eternal soul just helped me create this?

I spent the next year living and creating in this cycle. I found myself saying, “oh you are just in the Curiosity phase”, when people explained to me having so many ideas but not sure which to choose. I felt warm inside when I realized my desire to decorate the lobby in my studio with blue velvet couches and vintage chairs was part of my Beauty cycle. I then started creating classes to help others learn about each phase of the cycle and to listen for their own unique messages as to how to live into the cycle.

I have now taught hundreds of people, in person and online, through an entire cycle of the Regenerative Creativity wheel and each of these classes can be accessed immediately for you to watch and paint along. I would love for you to try the first class, Curiosity for free! Use promo code LOVE-100 at checkout and enjoy your three hour guided painting experience.

In Regenerative Creativity® students use painting as a way to explore their own unique way of working. As a certified Intentional Creativity® Teacher from Musea University in Sonoma, California, I blend my knowledge I learned about painting while asking questions, which allows students to listen to their own voice and inner knowledge, with my knowledge of Regenerative Creativity, which helps those recovering from burnout create with more joy and ease. These classes are not art classes so we can release our worry about the final painting. The goal is self expression, curiosity and being present in the process. The painting itself becomes a souvenir of the experience and evidence of the wisdom and clarity the student has gained .

Now comes the really exciting part! In October 2025 I will be offering the entire Regenerative Creativity Cycle as an eight month course! Not only will you get to paint in community, live online for three hours each month, I will also go deeper into how each of the phases shows up in your life and how the teachings and wisdom you gain go far beyond the canvas. You will receive visualizations, created by me, for each phase of the cycle to help you really open to the wisdom in your own unique way of working. You will also have the chance to connect and share your experiences with each other with a dedicated Zoom call each month. I am build all of this for you right now.
