About Deanna

I believe creativity is a part of who we are. We know it when we are kids, but then life gets busy, complicated and sometimes really hard. We don’t believe in our inner artist anymore, but that creator is still in there!

The art kid in me got so hungry to create she refused to be ignored anymore. I enrolled in Intentional Creativity Teacher training with mentor Shiloh Sophia and Musea University and fed on the most nourishing creative practice of my life!

I revived my creative soul and this is what I want to share with the you!

Intentional Creativity

We paint to make a painting right?  What if the finished painting wasn’t why we paint?

In Intentional Creativity we focus on being present in the experience of painting while holding an inquiry in our heart, mind and soul.

The physical act of painting while asking questions can bring forth gifts of healing, insight, and joy!  The painting itself becomes a souvenir of your experience you can look at anytime to remember the wisdom you gained.

For an artist, this way of painting can bring her soul into her work and help the piece connect to others on a deeper level.

Intentional Creativity also helps relieve the stress many artists feel from analysis fatigue, self judgment and perfectionism, since we are only working on one inquiry, one layer at a time.

Imagine how you would feel painting from a place of presence where the finished product simply becomes the inevitable outcome of an energy giving process.
